How to get to Hotel Rathauspark?

From the Airport Wien-Schwechat ...


by commuter train (ÖBB)

Follow the signs reading “S-Bahn” (or showing a white S on a blue background). Take the S7 and alight at the stop “Landstraße-Wien Mitte (Vienna Centre)”. From this station, you get on Subway U4 (green line, direction: Heiligenstadt) to the station “Schottenring”. At this station you have to get on subway U2 (purple line, direction: Karlsplatz) and alight at “Rathaus”. Walk (5 minutes) to the hotel. 

The ride from the Airport to Landstrasse-Wien Mitte will last about 25 Minutes. Please note that the Airport is located outside of the city of Vienna, therefore you will need an extra ticket for public transport. The total one way fare for this trip is 4,20 € (*).


by City Airport Train (CAT)

The CAT is a direct yet more expensive train connection between the Airport and the city. It takes about 16 minutes to reach the station “Landstrasse-Wien Mitte”. From this station, get on Subway U4 (green line, direction: Heiligenstadt) to the station “Schottenring”. At this station, get on Subway U2 (purple line, direction: Karlsplatz) and alight at "Rathaus". Walk (5 minutes) to the hotel. 

During operating hours the CAT leaves at and returns to the Airport every 30 minutes. To the Airport: 05:38 o’clock to 23:35 o’clock. From the Airport: 06:05 o’clock to 23:35 o’clock.

Some Airlines offer a Check-in at the CAT Vienna Centre Terminal.

by Taxi

The taxi stands can be found in front of the arrival hall. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get to the city centre. A taxi ride might cost 35-40 € (*).

Train station Westbahnhof

Take Subway U3 (orange line, direction: Simmering) to the station “Volkstheater”. Change here to Subway U2 (purple line, direction: Aspern) and alight at the station “Rathaus”. Walk (5 minutes) to the hotel. 

Train station Meidling

Take Subway U6 (brown line, direction: Floridsdorf) to the station “Westbahnhof”. Change here to Subway U3 (orange line, direction: Simmering) and alight at the station “Volkstheater”. Get on Subway U2 (purple line, direction: Aspern) and alight at the station “Rathaus”. Walk (5 minutes) to the hotel.

by Airport Bus Shuttle

There is also the possibility to take an airport bus. Buses from the airport stop at:

  • Vienna Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz (Subways U1 and U4, from here you take Subway U4 to Schottenring and change to Subway U2 to Rathaus)

Riding time: approximately 30 Minutes

Fares (*): (1) Adults 8 € (one way), 13 € (roundtrip); (2) Children: below the age of 6: free, age: 6yrs.-15yrs (one way): 4 €, roundtrip: 6.50 €
